The Master Within is the first installment of a three volume course in spiritual self-mastery. Building Our New Home Within the House of God is a metaphorical depiction of the spiritual building and self-realization process. The new home we venture to build is us. We engage in an in-depth journey of renovating, cleaning, purifying and eventually transforming our self into a new and improved person. The process entails enrolling in the University of Spirituality and learning directly from the teaching light of God. The endeavor requires returning to kindergarten and being receptive, patient, open minded and allowing the process to occur. The writings heavily address the topic of karma, which stands as the ultimate barrier to the construction of our new home. We are educated in depth about karma, the residual effects of actions (causes) we have previously set in motion. We cannot blame anyone else for our karma and it is our duty to accept responsibility for our actions. There are ways to minimize the effects of karma returning to us, one of which is enhanced awareness and understanding of the process itself. We also learn why we die and why things happen to us and our loved ones. The author addresses many topics associated with spirituality, including the nature of God as energy, the building tools of prayer, meditation, thought processes, bodily energy centers, character attributes, learning through inspiration, distractions, diet and the difficulties of the self-renovation process.
